One-to-ones with a publishing professional
A limited number of one-to-one sessions are available to request. If you’re interested in a advisory chat with a publishing professional, please complete the form here. You must have booked for the event to be allocated a one-to-one session. On the form, you will be asked to provide:
- A short synopsis of the writing project you’re working on
- A 500 word extract, ideally from the beginning of the manuscript
We will be closing the form on Monday 6 January and will allocate one-to-one sessions by Friday 10 January. If more one-to-ones are requested than there are spaces available, we will try to match the most appropriate work to the expertise of the publishing professionals available.
The Northern Writers’ Awards are produced by New Writing North with support from Northumbria University, Arts Council England and a range of industry partners. The awards support work-in-progress by writers based in the North of England.
