Juice Festival Press Gang: volunteer journalism opportunity

New Writing North is teaming up with Juice Festival to search for young writers to take part in their Press Gang project, which will give writers the opportunity to write pre-festival articles, reviews and blogs for the Juice Festival 2012. As part of Press Gang, New Writing North will be hosting a series of reviewing masterclasses in NewcastleGateshead during August and September. Masterclasses will be art-form specific (music/art/cinema etc) and led by experts, and reviews produced will be featured on a special Cuckoo Review blog, which will run throughout the festival.
Applicants need to be 16-plus, possess strong verbal and written communication skills and ideally be studying marketing, journalism, or an English subject to A-level or equivalent.
