Young Writers’ Talent Fund

Young Writers’ Talent Fund is a project run by New Writing North to support exciting and talented young writers aged 15-25 living in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The Fund is currently supported by the Northern Rock Foundation and provides development opportunities for young creatives working across a range of writing forms, and aims to make connections between aspiring writers and producers, and industry professionals. Young Writers’ Talent Fund offers bespoke support, investment, mentoring and opportunities for training.

What kind of work does the Young Writers' Talent Fund support?

We work with writers across a range of different writing disciplines including spoken word, poetry, prose, graphic novels, zines, script and game design to name a few.

How can I apply for the Fund?

The Young Writers’ Talent Fund is currently open for its second round of applications. Deadline is Friday 1st June 2018.
