Lost Teenagers is an innovative piece of contemporary theatre devised by teenagers, for teenagers. Students at Callerton Academy in Newcastle have produced this compelling story of the journey of five teenagers who find themselves drawn into the digital world of ‘Happy High Life’. Captivated by its dazzling lights and polished perfection, they soon uncover the darker, more sinister reality lurking beneath the surface of this artificial realm…

Lost Teenagers combines original music, movement and writing by Callerton pupils. It shines a spotlight on the challenges of navigating digital spaces, exploring themes of identity, control, and the seductive allure of perfection. Bold, engaging, and thought-provoking, this production offers a unique perspective on the impact of the digital age, all told through the voices of the generation it affects most.

This production has been supported via Young Writers’ City by Emily Wiseman, Kema Kay, Liz Corney and Marshal Siziba.
