This series of masterclasses with writers and industry professionals is open to emerging screenwriters looking to enhance their professional awareness and expand their networks. Each session will be hosted online and last two hours. Please book early to secure your place.

In this masterclass, we will be discussing the art of note giving and receiving for scripted television. Having your work scrutinised, critiqued and commented on can be an uncomfortable process but is a critical stage in the process of writing for television. We’ll learn more about how to give constructive and useful notes, how to receive notes graciously and how to know which to act on. Confirmed speakers for this event are the writer Tiwa Lade who will be in conversation with producers Laura Hastings-Smith and Steve Thompson; former EastEnders Script Editor Elizabeth Kwenortey and Hollyoaks writer Jenna Campbell, who will be discussing note taking in the world of continuing drama; and Hannah Rose of Tiger Aspect.
