Breaking Into Film Roundtable
New Writing North is heading to the Sunderland Shorts Film Festival on 10 May to host a roundtable on breaking into the film industry in partnership with Film Hub North. The roundtable is aimed at early career writers, directors and producers who are keen to find out what the routes into the film industry are, top tips on how to build a career in the industry and what funding and support is currently available. This informal session will be an opportunity to ask any key questions you have and meet other filmmakers in the area.

Screenwriting Surgeries
Following this, Roxy will be hosting 1-2-1 Screenwriting Surgeries from 2-5pm where North of England based writers can discuss a specific screenwriting project they are working on. Available on Zoom or in person at Royalty Theatre, Sunderland. Book your surgery place here.
