Northern Writers’ Awards Ceremony 2023

Join us online to watch the livestream of the 2023 Northern Writers’ Awards Ceremony, hosted by Northumbria University, where we will be showcasing some of the extraordinary writers who have benefitted from New Writing North’s flagship writer development programme.

The highlight of the evening will be the announcement of the 2023 winners – some of the region’s most exciting poets, novelists, children’s writers and authors of narrative non-fiction. The Awards have built a reputation for throwing a spotlight on talented writers in the North and have supported more than 360 them to develop their work towards publication and broadcast. Our partners include Northumbria University, Channel 4, Hachette Children’s Group and many others.
