Our Young Writers will open The Lit & Phil’s ClassicsFest 2025 with a performance responding to the legacy of Cicero, created with poet and performer Kirsten Luckins. The event will also include an interview and discussion with Vittorio Bufacchi, senior lecturer in philosophy at University College Cork and author of the book Why Cicero Matters, chaired by Professor Edith Hall.

ClassicsFest 2025 at The Lit & Phil Library will explore the ideas of Roman philosopher and statesman Cicero (106 – 43 BC) and how his work can speak to us today, taking place from 15-17 May.

Tickets are free but must be booked in advance. Bookings will open on The Lit & Phil’s website from March.
