Join New Writing North’s First Edition group to launch the second issue of Scraps, an annual publication of young writing from the North.
This issue collects writing on the theme of ‘Pushing Boundaries’ from 18-30yr olds across the North, selected from an open call for new writing in 2025. The publication is edited, designed and produced by First Edition, a group of 18-25yr olds who meet in Newcastle each week to develop writing, share ideas and take their first steps into careers in arts and literature.
The launch will include readings from the group and an opportunity to learn more about opportunities for 18-25yr olds interested in writing, reading, and publishing opportunities.
