Take part in a FREE Writing for TV workshop!

Ever felt like you had a story to tell but didn’t know where to start?

Sky Writes is a partnership between Sky Studios and New Writing North to find and support under-represented writers from Blackpool and the nearby areas, to develop their ideas and skills in writing for television.

Join us on Tuesday 13 April, 6.30-8pm or Saturday 17 April, 2-3.30pm for a Starting to Write for TV workshop. We’ll be covering some of the basics of writing for TV – including plot, character, dialogue and how to tell the stories you want to see on screen. The workshops will be friendly and relaxed with no need to have any previous experience of scriptwriting.

The session will be run by our Writer in Residence, Carrie Mitchell and supported by Programme Producer, Chandan Shergill. Carrie ?Mitchell is a screenwriter with 20 years’ experience in the TV industry, contributing over 200 episodes for Emmerdale.

This is a free workshop that takes place on Zoom – all you need is a device (mobile phone, laptop or desktop) and an internet connection.

If you have any questions or access requirements, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Project Producer, Chandan Shergill on skywritesblackpool@gmail.com.
