Friday 5, 19 and 26 August, 10am-3pm each day

Venue: Gateshead Library

Open to: ages 12-19

Join us this summer for three days of creative writing! Whether you’re a seasoned writer, would like to try something new, or just enjoy storytelling, these workshops will introduce you to new ways to write and invite you to develop your own artistic ideas. Each day will focus on a different form of writing, and you can come to the one that most interests you or book all three.

These three summer writing days are specifically designed for local care experienced young people.

For a chat about what to expect at these sessions, including the support we have in place and any additional needs, please do get in touch with Tess Denman-Cleaver at youngwriters@newwritingnorth.com to arrange a phone call.

From September we will be running weekly Young Writers Groups in Gateshead Library, every Saturday during term time between 11am-1pm. Our summer programme is a great way to meet other young writers and find out more about our regular young writers’ programmes.
