Free creative writing workshops & readings to celebrate Julia Darling

Posted by

A tour of events and writing workshops celebrating the short stories of Julia Darling across County Durham and Newcastle this October.

Join us at performances and workshops to celebrate the publication of Pearl, a new collection of short stories from beloved North East poet, playwright and novelist, the late Julia Darling.

Published by Mayfly Press, Pearl includes classic stories from Julia’s first collection Bloodlines, along with others that appeared in anthologies, magazines and that were broadcast on Radio 4. Pearl will be available from all good book stores from early October and via County Durham’s library service. Pre-order now at Inpress.

Julia’s stories will be brought to life in an intimate reading event featuring actresses Zoe Lambert and Judy Earl, directed by Laura Lindow.
