New Writing North Young Writers is our programme for young people. We support you to express your ideas, to work with professional writers and artists, to create and share new work and to meet other young writers.
New Writing North is a writing development agency based in the North East of England. We’re passionate about providing all sorts of opportunities for you to write.
All sorts of young people aged 12–25 take part in our programme. Some people join to make friends, to have new experiences or to become a better writer.
Our programmes are free to take part in and don’t require any experience. If you enjoy blogging, rap, spoken word, poetry, novels, films, songs, short stories, theatre or any other kind of writing, take a look at how to get involved.
