Anna Jackson

Programme Manager (Young People & Communities)

Anna joined New Writing North in May 2025 as Programme Manager (Young People and Communities). Anna works to support the design and delivery New Writing North’s community-based programmes in Newcastle and Gateshead.

Anna has previously worked as a proofreader and editor of academic manuscripts, and most recently in the charitable sector supporting economically inactive individuals and individuals in recovery from substance misuse.

Anna holds a BA in English from the University of Cambridge, with a particular focus on New Journalism, Romanticism and Visual Culture.
