Are you ready to take your audio-writing skills in audio fiction drama to the next level?

Do you want to dig deeper into audio-writing craft and make your mark in the world of podcasting?

If so, New Writing North has three short course masterclasses for you, focusing on art of audio fiction drama for writers and producers.

Introducing our first three audio fiction masterclasses especially designed for writers who want to soak their words in soundscapes and get their stories singing in the studio.

Kaleidosonic: The Craft of Modern Audio Drama

Using her career in radio and podcasting, Ella Watts will take attendees through the various aesthetic tools at their disposal when writing an audio drama. This class will include a wide range of examples from 1923 all the way up to 2023 illustrating how the medium can be used with punch, through every age. It will be focused on giving people both practical advice (with studio access) and creative inspiration when it comes to writing audio fiction for podcasts and radio.

This is one of three Audio Fiction masterclasses taking place as part of our wider Sounds Good programme. Find out more about Sounds Good
