Are you interested in South Asian horror stories, Bengali poetry, or Desi fantasy/fiction? Are you tired of the lack of people of colour in literature? It’s time for Brown Girls to create their own narratives and characters. Brown Girls Write is a writing group for all women of colour who are interested in nurturing their creative writing skills or want to give it a go.

Join us over 8 weeks as we work with writer Tahmina Ali to try different types of writing and develop our own stories. It’s free to take part and no writing experience is necessary – just come along, have a go and meet other Brown Girl writers!

Brown Girls Write meets on Wednesdays at 6:00–7:30 pm from 14 September – 14 December at the DiverCity Hub, 120 Buckingham St, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 5QR. Suitable for people aged 16+.
