C Pam Zhang was born in Beijing and brought up in the USA where she still lives. Her debut novel How Much of These Hills is Gold won numerous awards, was longlisted for the Booker Prize and chosen as one of Barack Obama’s books of the year. Her new novel Land of Milk and Honey is about food, sex, desire and longing.
Sheena Patel’s I’m a Fan is the story of a seemingly unequal, unfaithful relationship and offers a devastating critique of social media and patriarchal systems. It won a British Book Award and was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction. It was Foyles Fiction Book of the Year and Observer Best Debut novel in 2022. Sheena lives in London and works in the film industry.
