The Poetry Book Society presents two award-winning poets featured in their prestigious Autumn 2025 recommendations list.
Mona Arshi’s third poetry collection, Mouth, follows women navigating the terrible reality and aftermath of war, from Greek tragedy to the conflicts of today, based on her experiences as a human rights lawyer. In 2015 she won the Forward Prize for her debut collection, Small Hands.
Caroline Bird is one of the editors of Something New: Alternative Poems for Alternative Weddings. She won the Forward Prize for The Air Year and has been shortlisted for The T.S Eliot, Polari and Dylan Thomas Prizes.
