Six weeks of 90-minute writing workshops to help you hone your craft or pick up the pen for the first time

Are you a writer keen to develop your skills in a range of forms? Or maybe you’ve never touched pen to paper before and you just want to try your hand at something creative? This six-week course delivered by award-winning write Carina Rodney will help you access your creativity and get words on paper.

The six 90-minute workshops will be suitable for writers at all levels of experience and are intended to be adaptable to a range of genres and outcomes. Each workshop will have a different focus, from developing three-dimensional characters to crafting dialogue and settings.

About the workshop facilitator

Carina Rodney is an award-winning writer based in the North East. Her theatre work has toured nationally and includes: Pub Quiz, The Fighting Bradfords, Canned, The Big Marrow, Shooting Star and adaptations of The Worst Princess and My Granny is a Pirate. Her audio scripts have been produced by BBC Radio 4 and more recently include the multi-cast series Hell Cats (2020) and Hell Cats 2, Stand and Deliver (2022) for Audible, starring Erin Doherty, Jonathan Bailey and Michelle Fox. Carina is currently developing a range of TV and film projects. Her upcoming TV feature, A Deadly Debt recently completed filming in LA and her screenplay, The Change is in pre-production with Director/Producer Jen Handorf at Dark Matter Films.
