Six weeks of 90-minute workshops to get you started writing poetry

In this series of entry-level workshops we will be exploring the potential for invention in poetry, how to work with image, sound and type and to learn new ways to express ourselves on the page.

A limited number of free tickets are available to people for whom the cost is prohibitive. Please contact Margot Miltenberger [email protected]

“This course has really made me think – it helped me to write again and believe in my writing. I would recommend them to any budding writers.”

– Start Writing participant

A note for our Start Writing alumni

We keep our Start Writing workshops small so that participants get the most out of their experience. In order to widen access to our Start Writing courses and give more people a chance to participate, we’re prioritising places for those who have not yet taken a Start Writing course. If you are a Start Writing alumni but would still like to participate, please email Margot Miltenberger to be added to the waitlist: [email protected]
