From ancient epics to the contemporary moment, storytelling has been central to the ways in which we understand our lives. This workshop will reveal and question how this understanding can change and grow in poetry. Exploring the connections between storytelling and poetry, we will discuss and create new ways to express the stories that confirm and confuse who we are and the world we live in.
David Spittle is a poet, filmmaker and essayist. He has published three poetry collections and a pamphlet, as well as an ongoing series of interviews with filmmakers talking-about-poetry and poets talking-about-film. His films have been screened in festivals and on the BBC.
