In times of conflict, stories help process trauma, speak a truth, and connect us to humanity.
Ibtisam Azem, the New York journalist raised near Jaffa, brings an unforgettable glimpse into contemporary Palestine with her novel, The Book of Disappearance.
Senior academic, Peace Adzo Medie, discusses her novel Nightbloom – a riveting depiction of class and family in Ghana, attesting to the strength of female friendship. Peace will appear on Zoom.
And young Ukrainian refugee Yeva Skalietska, who captured hearts when she featured on Ch 4 News with her gran fleeing Ukraine, discusses her Sunday Times Book of the Year, You Don’t Know What War is.
