Work by Gateshead Young Writers

The 2019-21 Gateshead young writers’ programme produced 36 creative outputs including poetry anthologies, audio dramas, music videos and a celebration event the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in January 2020 featuring performances from participants.

Work produced by Gateshead Young Writers between 2019-2021 included: 

7 film poems inspired by collections at the Shipley Art Gallery, produced by young people as part of the Gateshead Young Writers summer school 2019 

2 songs written by young people at Kelvin Grove Primary School exploring the dangers of the internet: Who You Really Are
