Hexham Book Festival launches 2012 programme

The programme for the seventh Hexham Book Festival has been launched and is available to view at www.hexhambookfestival.co.uk. The festival takes place between 23 April-3 May and this year events are taking place in Hexham and across Northumberland. New Writing North is delighted to be helping out with the festival and we will be hosting a couple of events within the programme including the national launch of Mari Hannah’s novel, The Murder Wall, with Macmillan, on 26 April and a book group event with Sarah Moss on her book Night Walking on 1 May.
Speaking of book groups, if you are struggling to decide what to read next, you can visit the Book Shed on 28 April and get recommendations based on what our regional book group network has been reading over the last year. The festival also has lots of great events for writers, from workshops to talks on self-publishing and A Novel Event, where new writers can pitch their work to a panel of agents and publishers and our own director on 29 April.
