Mslexia Women’s Poetry Competition

Mslexia Women’s Poetry Competition is now open for submissions of poems of any length and on any subject by women writers. This year, the first prize has been raised to £2,000, plus a week at the idyllic poets’ retreat of Cove Park and a mentoring afternoon with the editor of premier poetry magazine Poetry Review. The submissions will be judged by award-winning poet Jo Shapcott and all winning poems will appear in issue 51 of Mslexia, which is published in October 2011. Deadline for submissions: 18 July.
