New Writing North book groups need you

After a brief seasonal break in August (which actually had sun this year!), the New Writing North book groups are back. The book lists for the rest of the year have been chosen – with groups reading everything from Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn to the Gordon Burn Prize-shortlisted How I Killed Margaret Thatcher by Anthony Cartwright – and the 2013 Durham Festival is holding a special book group event with Lottie Moggach (Kiss Me First) and Matt Haig (The Humans).

So this is a great time for new members to pop in and meet everyone. Book groups are great places to meet other like-minded readers – or debate with unlike-minded readers – and with nine groups throughout the North East there’s usually one not too far away.
