Northern Crime: a new publishing venture to support new writers
Posted by
Northern Crime is an innovative competition that aims to unearth and publish exciting new crime writing from writers who live and work in the north of England. We are looking for fresh new voices, great stories with strong characters, and fiction that isn’t afraid to push the boundaries of the genre.
The winning books from the Northern Crime competition will be published by Moth Publishing in print and as e-books in 2012. The winning writers will receive a standard publishing contract, £1,000 prize money, and support to editorially develop their work, as well as benefiting from a marketing and PR campaign to support the publication of their books. Moth Publishing is a new partnership venture that New Writing North has created with Sunderland-based publisher BEPL. For more information, see www.mothpublishing.com.
