NWN announces new partnership for Northern Writers’ Awards

New Writing North is delighted to announce a new partnership with Bonafide Films in conjunction with the Northern Writers’ Awards (deadline for entries 21 April, don’t forget). This new partnership will aim to fast-track fiction projects from the awards which we feel might have potential in the fields of film and TV. The writers of any projects that are suitable for adaptation will receive the offer of an option on their work.
This exciting new partnership offers a completely new type of opportunity for writers who might have generated ideas for books that might work in other forms. It also means that writers entering for awards have more than one opportunity to benefit from the process. Should any projects come to fruition, New Writing North’s share of any profits will be reinvested in the awards in the future. This project is one of the ways that New Writing North is launching which explore potential new income streams for our work.
