Opportunities for writers interested in working with young people
New Writing North is currently developing a number of writing projects involving young people. We will be working with a range of groups including those who are already interested in writing, young people who have never been involved in creative projects before, and ‘harder to reach’ young people, or specific communities of interest. We want to update our network of writers who are interested in working in the field. Please contact [email protected] and let her know you are interested in working on projects with young people. If you have a specific area of interest, or you have limited availability, please make that known to us.

If you have not worked with us on young people’s projects before, please enclose your CV detailing your writing history and also any work you have already done in this area. If you have no experience in this area, please do still let us know you are interested, as there may be development opportunities in the future.

Please note that one of the main criteria for delivering this type of work for NWN is the quality of your writing. We are therefore very interested in your publication or production history as a writer, so please ensure you include this on your CV. We are also interested in this instance in hearing from writers who are within traveling distance of the North East (Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Teeside and Durham).
