Short stories sought for new series in The Journal
New Writing North is delighted to be working with the Saturday edition of The Journal to bring readers a weekly short story. We need your stories and are now accepting submissions of stories up to 2,000 words. This is a unique opportunity for North East writers to see their work in print and to be read by over 40,000 readers each week.
Stories should be accessible, not feature any bad language, and do not have to be on a North East theme. We are happy to consider stories that are tied to the publication of a new book. As the publication of the stories will continue month by month we are happy to consider submissions on a rolling basis so there is no deadline. If you would like your work to be considered please send the story and a 50-word biog to [email protected].
