Joanna Ellis

Joanna Ellis has worked in and around publishing since 1998.

She is currently an independent consultant working mostly in digital collection development in the library sector.

Previously she was the co-owner of The Literary Platform, an agency and arts organisation that was listed in the Fortuna 50 list of Fastest Growing Businesses led by Women, and the marketing director at publisher Faber & Faber.

She has been a member of the New Writing North board since 2015.

It gives me a lot of satisfaction to be able to use my experience and network in support of New Writing North. The work it does in creating opportunities for people to write and the way it uses literature—in its broadest sense—to bring people together to explore big issues is transformational and joyous, and needed more than ever.
