Join our new Young Writers’ group in Gateshead

We’re launching a brand new creative writing group in Gateshead and we’re looking for young people to join us. The group will meet at Gateshead Central Library starting Saturday 11 May. It will take place every Saturday in term-time from 10am-12pm and it’s totally free to take part.
Working with writer Lauren Vevers you will try out a wide range of different creative writing styles. We currently run Young Writers groups in Newcastle, South Shields, Amble and Cramlington, where groups have done everything from making their own zines to creating short animated films; writing poetry, crime, fantasy and scripts. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never tried writing before. Come along, meet likeminded creative young people and try something new!
Gateshead Young Writers is open to young people aged 12-19. You can register your interest in advance here or just turn up on the day.
