K Devan is an award-winning writer of literary fiction, represented by Abi Fellows of DHH Literary Agency.

He was inspired from a young age by his mother’s political activism and his fiction explores hidden histories and the stories we choose to not tell our children.

With a focus on class and sexuality, his work has been shortlisted for the Merky Book Prize and was most recently published in the Brick Lane Bookshop in 2024. He is a graduate of the Faber Academy, where he entered on a full scholarship.

When not writing, he works as a junior doctor with an NHS team providing psychological support to refugees and asylum seekers
